DW WiFi was established in May 2008 by Dave Woodall. The vision is to use our extensive expertise in various formats of wireless and Automatic Identification and Data Capture technology to better support our customers. Dave Woodall served the first eight years of his career working for Computer Identics Ltd, a subsidiary of Computer Identics Corp based in Boston USA who portrayed themselves as 'The Original Barcode Company'. The company manufactured a range of high performance intelligent fixed position barcode scanners and networked terminals. The role was to develop 'turn key' data capture solutions using Computer Identics hardware and bespoke software. This company was subsequently acquired by a US Vision Technology company called RVSI who focused on moving the business model to sell their products through distribution.
Dave Woodall moved on to Blackroc Distribution Ltd, a value added Auto ID distributor, for a further eight years to gain valuable experience providing technical support and WiFi professional services to reseller customers. A further year was spent working for a Warehouse Management Software reseller company called MACS Software Ltd. Working on the implementation team, the warehouse management solution was deployed at numerous logistics and warehousing customers in the UK, Africa and South America.
The knowledge and skills developed in these twenty years enables DW WiFi to offer a trusted service to its customers based on actual experience in the field of a whole host of technologies and software solutions. At present DW WiFi focuses on providing hardware and software solutions that are proven to be reliable and backs up sales of the more technical products with a range of on site services.
